Certain Health Valley Granola Bars Recalled

Comments Off

Lovin Oven, LLC, announced a precautionary, voluntary recall of certain Health Valley Organic Granola Bars because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

To this date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled bars.

The recall involves Dutch Apple, Peanut Crunch and Wildberry chew granola bars. The affected lots can be found on the FDA Web site.

Consumers that have any of the tainted granola bars are urged to return them to the store of purchase for a refund.

Salmonella infections can be serious and sometimes fatal in young children, elderly, or people with weak immune systems. Infection symptoms include fever diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
